John Tran

John Tran (he/him) serves as the Assistant Director of Advising & Student Retention for the Program in Environmental Design. In his role, he oversees the management and assessment of the recruitment for First-Year, transfer and intra-university transfer students, new student orientation, the Diverse Scholars Program, First-Year Experience, and efforts related to student persistence and retention. Prior to ENVD, John served as a Senior Academic Advisor where he maintained a caseload of ENVS and GEOG undergraduate students and served as the New Student Welcome (NSW) Project Manager.
John holds an M.A. in Higher Education from the University of Denver and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder. John is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education in Leadership for Educational Equity, with a concentration in Urban & Diverse Communities, at the University of Colorado Denver.
