Ilana Trumble is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Information Science Department, with a background in biostatistics and data science. She holds a PhD in Biostatistics and has industry experience in oncology clinical trials, where she applied machine learning, Bayesian methods, and causal inference to improve patient outcomes. In her teaching, Ilana emphasizes the importance of communication and collaboration in data science, helping students learn not only how to analyze data, but how to clearly explain their reasoning and work effectively in teams.
