Day 1 Digital Access provides the least expensive version of your course materials. If you see "Day 1 Digital Crs Materials" on the university bill, students will have already received several emails from the CU Book Store with the subject line "Day 1 Digital Access." Access is granted to students on the first day of classes (Day 1). Students also should have received information about the program from their professor and class syllabus. You can learn more about Day 1 Digital Access on the CU Book Store's website.
Book Store charges may appear on the 2nd or 3rd bill of the semester because they are billed after the course drop deadline to give students the maximum amount of time to make choices about their course schedule and for students to have a chance to opt out and pursue other course material formats.
If you received a refund (from financial aid or for other reasons), we cannot hold refunds in anticipation of future charges. If a charge does come on the bill after you receive a refund, you are responsible for paying the additional charges.

It is required for all graduate students except eligible graduate assistants who receive a waiver for this fee as part of their compensation package.

Miscellaneous charges on the bill can come from departments on campus including but not limited to these examples. If you have questions about any miscellaneous charges on the university bill, the originating department can help you. Please visit their website for contact information.
The New Student Fee is a one-time, nonrefundable fee assessed at the time of first registration for students entering a degree-seeking program. Nondegree students who are admitted to degree status are charged the New Student Fee at the time they first register. The fee varies depending on degree and international status.
