  The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) conducts research in the dynamical, physical, and chemical processes that occur in the atmosphere and ocean. When grant funding is available, we hire undergraduate students to help carry out our research mission which gives students an opportunity to obtain research experience.
