Twelve months of wellness: September 2023

Be well logo

What is important, what matters, what is precious.

When something is important, we spend time on it, take care of it, grow it. When something is precious, we may do the same and also be protective.

As we think about what matters, is important and is precious, we are reminded that we are part of a herd in which each member is important, matters and is precious. In the College of Arts and Sciences, we are helping to protect our herd with a range of wellness resources. As this semester begins, remember that you are part of the herd, are important, do matter and are worth protecting.

In 2021 Governor Polis signed HB21-1318, establishing the Colorado Outdoor Equity Grant Program. The purpose of the COEGP is to increase access and opportunity for underserved youth and their families to experience Colorado's open spaces, state parks, public lands, and other outdoor areas. Join us for a panel discussion with representatives from COEGP about why making Colorado's outdoor areas more equitable is so important. This discussion will be moderated by Parker McMullen Bushman, an environmental and outdoor social justice activist based in Colorado.

This panel is sponsored by the College of Arts & Sciences' Office for Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion and Be Well.
