Program Vision.

The Department of Applied Mathematics (APPM) at the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU Boulder) strives to provide excellent teaching, research, and service to the university community and the World in the application of mathematics to there disciplines. Accordingly, the APPM Affiliate Program vision is to enhance and broaden the training of applied mathematics students and to facilitate interactions and collaborations between experts inside and outside the department to enrich and challenge the realm of applications of mathematics continually.

I am an Assistant Professor in applied matheamtics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I received my Ph.D. from UCLA under the guidance of Andrea Bertozzi. I was an NSF postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University from 2011-2014. My research focuses on nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs), in particular those with applications to urban crime, segregation, biological aggregation, chemotaxis, and ecology.
