Graduate students from all fields are invited to learn about speaking with the public on December 2, 2013, 1:00-2:30 pm, in UMC room 247.

Professor Polly McLean from Journalism & Mass Media, Dominic Dezzutti, host and producer of the Emmy award winning Colorado Inside Out on Colorado Public Television, and Lorine Giangola, who has her doctorate in Environmental Studies, will discuss how academics can best share their work with a lay audience.

The Spirit of POD Award recognizes members of the Professional & Organizational Development (POD) Network who have made selfless contributions through their long-time professional service to the organization and lifetime achievements within the educational development profession. The membership of the POD Network is made up of 2000 academics working in faculty and graduate student development in more than 15 countries.
