An illustration of two skeletal arms and hands touching fingers against a black backgroundGrowth – “I played off of Michelangelo’s ‘Creation of Adam’ but in my own style. I have  always envisioned something similar or playing off such an incredible and powerful piece of work. To me, this piece shows how we learn from those that we surround ourselves with. If we get close enough to somebody, they start to rub off on you and change you, whether for good or for bad. This piece always brings me back to thinking about how the environment I place myself in may or may not impact me. Especially in darker times, it is extremely vital to me, and I am sure to others, to see that you are not alone and you have other influences, outlets and people to learn from and lean onto when you need it most.”
