Etre le Changement – “I created this piece to reflect that social media can be used for positive change. It depicts a woman who is using social media to energize and motivate others to make a difference in their communities. Social media is often seen as a negative in our culture and this piece is depicting that this is not always the case. The woman depicted is portrayed as confident, powerful and strong. ‘Etre le Changement’ means ‘be the change’ in French. I used a different language in the piece to show that it is relevant throughout the world.”
