    Education Abroad Fair

Once you get settled back in Boulder, it will be time for the Education Abroad's biggest event of the year. Stop by the UMC South Tent between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, to check it out.

Learn about the adventure of a lifetime at this in-person fair. You'll discover study abroad opportunities, global internships and research, and much more on hundreds of programs in almost 70 different countries. There are programs for all majors and all budgets.

You’ll get a chance to chat with Ed Abroad staff, study abroad providers like Semester at Sea and CU faculty who take students abroad on CU Global Seminars, as well as learn about internship experiences, including CU in D.C., and much more.

Get details on the academic and financial components of a term abroad, your next steps, and even start your application during the fair.

    Apply for a passport today

Passports are the first step in international travel. In order to apply for entry into another country, you must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months past your return date, (and some countries require up to 18 months validity). If you do not currently have a valid passport, you should apply for a new passport immediately. See the U.S. Department of State website for more details.

U.S. passport processing is currently experiencing delays due to COVID-19, with regular processing now taking up to 18 weeks. If you are thinking about studying abroad in 2022 and need to apply for a new passport, Education Abroad recommends applying as soon as possible!

More information can be found at Passport Operations in Response to COVID-19, and as always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to abroad@colorado.edu with any questions or concerns at all.
