Hart and Schneggenburger Named Pac-12 Player of the Week

SAN FRANCISCO – The University of Colorado women's volleyball is 5-0 with a top-five upset, only one set loss, and now have a pair of Pac-12 Player of the Week honors to go along with everything.
 
Redshirt sophomore Meegan Hart was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week alongside freshman Jill Schneggenburger who was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week.
 
Hart led a strong CU defense with 11 total blocks in a pair of sweeps in the Pac-12/BIG TEN Challenge. She averaged 1.83 blocks per set, including two per set against No.5 Illinois. Hart added nine kills with a combined .352 hitting percentage.
 
Schneggenburger was named to the Pac-12/BIG TEN All-Tournament team after having 20 kills for a combined .527 hitting percentage with only a single error. The freshman hit .611 against No.5 Illinois with a dozen kills. She also had three blocks and an ace.
 
The two give CU 20 Pac-12 Player of the Week honors since 2013. This is the fifth year in a row a CU player has been named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week and the third-straight for Freshman of the Week. They also become the 10th and 11th player at CU to earn a Pac-12 weekly honor.
