Last May, Provost Russ Moore and Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer Kelly Fox announced the Unified Student Experience (USE) Project, an effort to create a more streamlined online and in-person student experience aimed at transforming today's fragmented support structure for students.

We need your help

We will be launching campuswide faculty-staff and student surveys on Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, respectively.

Look for an individualized link sent to your university email account from wess@webebi.com on behalf of the Office of the Provost. Additionally, we will be conducting an inventory of current policies, committees, programs and assessments related to the first-year experience; analyzing data; and making recommendations that will be finalized next semester.

In a coordinated effort, this September, the Office of Undergraduate Education embarked with the Divisions of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management on the Foundations of Excellence (FoE) initiative, a campuswide effort to evaluate and improve the first-year undergraduate experience for all students.

How to stay informed

Periodic updates on our progress will be shared in CU Boulder Today, and as the initiatives continue, additional departments and units will be asked to participate. You can also stay informed about the progress of these initiatives and contribute feedback through the Unified Student Experience Project website, where you can also find project updates, team members, the project timeline and request more information.

Our work will help students focus more on academics and student life and less on navigating institutional bureaucracy. Specifics about the progress that’s been made in these areas can be found in the Unified Student Experience Project Report.
