The CU football program will retire uniform No. 19 to honor the late Rashaan Salaam. A Heisman Trophy and Doak Walker Award winner in 1994, Salaam also was a unanimous All-American and the Walter Camp National Player of the Year following one of the best individual seasons in college football history.
The 13th class to be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame this November will feature 10 Golden Buffalo legends representative of eight sports, all of whom left indelible marks in their CU athletic careers.
The 9-0, nationally-ranked lacrosse program at CU is the result of a team that has grown up together, learned together and taken to heart the wisdom of head coach Ann Elliot, who started the program from scratch in 2012.
Let’s be clear: 2016 was spectacular for Buffs football. Besides winning lots of games, the Buffs won a division title, played in a conference final and, for the first time since 2007, appeared in a bowl.
