CU invites alumni ‘Back to Boulder,’ announces new parade day, time

Have you been “Back to Boulder?” It’s a question being posed by the University of Colorado Boulder Alumni Association to its family of more than 250,000 students and alumni. Alumni, current students, faculty, staff and community members will find a broad slate of activities for the 2012 Homecoming weekend starting Thursday, Nov. 1. Equestrian team prepares for new season of competition

Imagine competing in a club sport where you meet your only teammate for the first time right before the competition begins. You’re not allowed to practice together beforehand and the equipment you use is new to you. This may sound like an unreasonable challenge, but it’s designed to create a fair competition. Just ask juniors Kelly Meyer and Lauren DeGeorge, members of CU-Boulder’s equestrian team , who compete in intercollegiate English and Western riding competitions, where they are judged on skill and ability.

Buffs Madness kicks off student loyalty program

The CU basketball seasons will officially kick off Friday night at Buffs Madness after the conclusion of the CU volleyball match against Arizona State. The volleyball match starts at 7 p.m. and Buffs Madness will go right after.

The Residence Hall Association Xtravaganza, to be held in the Center for Community, will feature free events before and after the game.

ESPN's Thursday Night Football will bring that singular moment to the University of Colorado Boulder campus on Thursday, Oct. 11. As the rest of campus prepares traffic plans, student events and classroom and building logistics, Athletics’ media relations and sports information staff is going into high gear to ready CU-Boulder for the national spotlight.

Groundbreaking ceremony to kick off CU-Boulder Rec Center renovation

A groundbreaking ceremony on Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. will kick off a $63 million project to renovate and expand the Student Recreation Center at the University of Colorado Boulder. The ceremony, located on the pool patio, will include light refreshments and remarks by Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano and other campus and student leaders at 4:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Family Weekend at CU-Boulder begins Sept. 28

Family Weekend at the University of Colorado Boulder begins Friday, Sept. 28, and includes a slate of on-campus events to showcase the university’s programs, resources and faculty. More than 1,655 families are registered for the event hosted by the CU-Boulder Parents Association. There are a limited number of tickets remaining for walk-up registrations.
