Free bus rides to the Rocky Mountain Showdown available

Are you going to the Rocky Mountain Showdown and need a ride? The University of Colorado Student Government and CU Athletics have paired up to make free bus rides available to CU Boulder students going to the CU vs CSU game on Friday, Sept. 2. The buses will board in front of the Coors Events Center beginning at 2 p.m.

Student-athlete health the focus of newly launched study

In what may be a first-ever exhaustive study of intercollegiate student-athletes, a team of CU Boulder researchers will gauge not only fitness but also general well-being among participants. Funded by a grant from the Pac-12 Conference, CU Boulder's Public Health Program, the Integrative Physiology Department, Sports Medicine, Psychology and Neuroscience and others will collaborate, examining such aspects as how quickly student-athletes acclimate to Boulder's altitude and how healthy their sleep patterns are, for example.

CU Athletics to tap into fans’ help for water conservation, restoration

Spectators at home basketball games will be prompted to text a pledge to conserve water a s part of CU-Boulder's new Water for the West campaign. For every pledge received, CU Athletics will restore 1,000 gallons of water to the Colorado River Basin through a partnership with the Change the Course initiative.
