One more week until spring break, Buffs! This week brings to campus St. Patrick's Day celebrations and events, a mobile food pantry, free coffee and movies, candlelight yoga, a lecture by Nobel Laureate Tom Cech and more.
Monday, March 9
Big Ideas office hours
7 a.m.–7 p.m. C4C, third floor, Suite S360
Drop in at the Center for Leadership in C4C S360 or via Zoom and talk through your ideas for the future of CU Boulder. Whether a fully formed concept or just a spark of inspiration, office hours are designed to provide low-barrier entry into the process. The Big Ideas initiative is a campuswide effort to surface and amplify transformational ideas that could shape the university’s impact for decades to come.
Women Leader’s Salon

Resume Revamp
5–6 p.m. Virtual
Want a resume that stands out to employers? Join Career Services to review effective strategies to highlight your skills and experiences on your resume. Students will be asked to participate in non-verbal ways and have opportunities to speak and work on their resume during the workshop. Our goal is that you'll leave feeling more informed, confident in your next moves and know how to reengage with our staff as you dive into your job search. Prefer in-person workshops? This session will be held again March 12 in the C4C.
Returning Lost Treasures: Archaeology and the Law
6–7 p.m. Richard Jessor Building, Room 155
Efforts to return cultural artifacts to descendant communities are reshaping how archaeology is practiced. This raises new legal, ethical and collaborative questions for researchers working in the U.S. and abroad. This public panel hosted by the Center for Collaborative Synthesis in Archaeology and the Institute of Behavioral Science will explore how repatriation, Indigenous sovereignty and heritage law are redefining the field.
'Project Hail Mary' free advance screening
7 p.m. Muenzinger Auditorium (E050)
Join the International Film Series for a free advance screening of the new film "Project Hail Mary." Science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory slowly returns, he soon discovers he must solve the riddle behind a mysterious substance that's causing the sun to die out. As details of the mission unravel, he calls on his scientific training and sheer ingenuity—but he may not have to do it alone.
Cycle to the Irish Artists: St. Patrick’s Day at the Rec

Meet with employers to learn about available jobs and internships and grow your network! CU Boulder students and alumni from all majors, experience levels and backgrounds are welcome to attend this free event. Be sure to complete your Handshake profile and RSVP. Students with a completed Handshake profile have a greater chance of being selected for an employer one-on-one. Others will be placed into group conversations.

The Big Ideas initiative is a campuswide effort to surface and amplify transformational ideas that could shape the university’s impact for decades to come. CU Boulder students, staff and faculty are invited to join in these interactive sessions designed to spark cross-disciplinary conversation and generate new ideas through small-group dialogue. Modeled after a “World Café” format, participants will rotate through themed tables, build on each other’s thinking and explore bold possibilities for CU Boulder’s future.
RSVP by March 9 to join one of two sessions: from 11 a.m. to noon or from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Mobile Food Pantry
2–4 p.m. St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church
The mobile food pantry is free and open to CU Boulder students, faculty and staff, and community members of Boulder and Broomfield counties. Attendees will receive up to 30 pounds of food (weight can vary). Be sure to bring your own reusable bags or boxes! Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Free parking is available in Lot 308. Please find the parking attendant in the lot for validation information. If you would like to volunteer at the mobile food pantry, sign up here.
