This week brings to campus the Brakhage film symposium, women's and men's hockey and basketball, a C4C dinner event celebrating African cuisine, the first home women's lacrosse game, free hot chocolate, coffee and movies, and more.

Want a resume that stands out to employers? Join Career Services to review effective strategies to highlight your skills and experiences in your resume. Students will be asked to participate in non-verbal ways and have opportunities to speak and work on their resume during the workshop. The goal is that you'll leave feeling more informed, confident in your next moves and know how to reengage with Career Services as you dive into your job search. Prefer to attend in person? This session will be held in the C4C on Feb. 19.

Saving Species with Science: 30 Years of Conservation Setbacks & Successes

Join Professor Dan Doak of Environmental Studies for this talk—the 127th in the Distinguished Research Lecture series—where he will share three stories showing how conservation science works in the real world and where ecological research meets human values, policies and tough choices. Through the California condor, a rare Rocky Mountain wildflower and the island fox, he will explore how our understanding of extinction risk has improved even as challenges facing wildlife mount.

This free, two-day forum on experimental media features screenings and discussions with filmmakers, including Stephanie Barber, A.S.M. Kobayashi and Deborah Stratman.
Ignite Social Justice & Leadership Conference

The Ignite Social Justice & Leadership Conference is an annual one-day conference-style social justice program. Students will learn, have dialogue, network and engage in a brave space together.

CU in the Community is a series of student-led, single-day volunteer projects offered each semester in partnership with local nonprofit organizations. Each CU in the Community centers around a specific topic (environmental conservation, housing insecurity, disability rights, etc.), which is aligned with the mission and expertise of our community partners.
