What to expect at Right Here, Right Now

The countdown to the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit is on—and CU Boulder’s regional plenary schedule is live!

Morning session

Join for a powerful morning of talks and live discussions moderated by Lakshmi Singh from National Public Radio (NPR). The North American programing will begin at 9 a.m. MDT at eTown Hall in Boulder.

Registration is required for guests attending in person. Doors for eTown will open at 8:30 a.m. Coffee, tea, water and light breakfast pastries provided.

  • 9–10 a.m. "The Human Rights Impacts of a Changing Climate: Pollution, Water Insecurity and Population Migration"
  • 10–11 a.m. Keynote: Sheila Watt-Cloutier
  • 11 a.m. CU Boulder Handoff

Afternoon impact project

CU Boulder is excited to partner with the Boulder Department of Parks and Recreation to celebrate World Environment Day by hosting an impact project following the morning programming.

From 1 to 3 p.m., all are invited to participate in a weeding, pruning and trash collection project at Primos Park in Boulder. This event is open to all (volunteering not dependent on summit registration). You can sign up and read more about the project here: RHRN Primos Park Beautification Project.

Evening session

All attendees and impact project volunteers are invited back to eTown for an evening reception, which will begin at 5 p.m. The reception will provide an opportunity to chat with speakers and visit with other attendees.

Additionally, there will be a performance from the local bluegrass band the Solar Sisters. Appetizers provided and cash bar available.

This plenary is part of a 24-hour global event co-hosted with United Nations Human Rights, the University of Oxford and campuses worldwide—coming June 5.
