Meet the speakers—Voices for climate justice
Get ready to hear from powerful voices at the intersection of climate change and human rights.
The Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit returns on June 5, and CU Boulder is proud to host a regional plenary featuring speakers who are leading the charge toward climate justice—including Indigenous advocates, scientists and educational leaders.
Our speakers include:
- Tonni Brodber (Head of Secretariat for UN Women Peace and Humanitarian Fund)
- Sheila Watt-Cloutier (Citizen Advocate on Environmental, Cultural and Human Rights, author and speaker)
- Naia Ormaza Zulueta (Environmental Studies, PhD candidate)
- John Ecklu (Global Engineering, PhD candidate)
- Amanda Carrico (Associate Professor of Environmental Studies, Associate Chair of Graduate Studies)
We are honored to have the day’s discussion moderated by Lakshmi Singh of National Public Radio (NPR). Learn more about the local event, including an evening reception with a performance by local bluegrass artists the Solar Sisters.
