Welcome to Homecoming week Buffs! This week brings a comedy show with Gianmarco Soresi, Senior Sunrise, grad student coffee hour, National Voter Registration Day and more.

Homecoming Kickoff

Stop by Farrand Field to receive free food and Homecoming swag! Ralphie will also be in attendance (weather permitting), giving you the chance to take an iconic CU photo to kick off Homecoming. Buff OneCard required.

Election Year Polarization: Can we stay good neighbors?

Join the Center for Humanities and the Arts for this event, and explore how to stay connected with those you may disagree with amid the polarized atmosphere of the November 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Calling all seniors! Stop by Farrand Field for an early-morning coffee and enjoy the vibrant sunrise. Pick up some Homecoming swag and a light breakfast before classes. Bring your Buff OneCard.

BioFrontiers Presents: ‘It’s All In Your Head: Past, Present, and Future of Neurodegenerative Disease Research’

Join CU Boulder's BioFrontiers Institute for this talk about neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson's, Alzheimer's) and what scientists are learning about them.

Elote Bar: Celebrating Latinx/e Heritage Month

Join fellow Buffs at this event to kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month! There will be free food, elote preparado (prepared corn), Latin American snacks, music and performances. Free and open to all! Hosted by the Center for Inclusion and Social Change and the Center for Student Involvement.  

Pride Dinner & Discussion: Queer Enough?

Join us for dinner and a discussion about how our different identities intersect with queerness and transness.  

Gianmarco Soresi Homecoming Comedy Show

The New York-based stand-up comedian and actor will perform a comedy show during Homecoming week. Tickets required.

Lug Your Mug

8 a.m.–noon ATLAS Center, outside CU Art Museum
Bring your own mug and enjoy some free coffee, compliments of the Environmental Center. There will be no single-use cups available, so you must bring your own!

Homecoming Spirit Day

11 a.m.–2 p.m.  Farrand Field
Take photos with Chip, and enjoy free food, games and activities including a mechanical bull! Buff OneCard required. 

Western Civilization Showdown Trivia

6–7 p.m. Kittredge Central, Benson Center Commons Area
Free food, prizes, trivia. What else could you want? The Benson Center Commons Area is located on the North Wing, second floor, in Room N221.

Free Fiske Thursday

7–8 p.m.  Fiske Planetarium
Grab your Buff OneCard and head over to Fiske Planetarium to enjoy Free Fiske Thursday! All 7 p.m. shows and star talks are free for CU Boulder students on Thursdays.

Buffalo Nites: Will Vill Homecoming Celebration

Friday, Sept. 20

Muslim Student Skate

4–6 p.m.  Rec Center ice rink
Visit The Rec for a fun time on the ice and learn more about the Muslim Student Association. All abilities are welcome, no experience necessary. Skate rentals are included. 

Homecoming Parade, Stampede and Pep Rally

7–8 p.m.  Pearl Street, courthouse lawn
Celebrate your CU pride with the Boulder community! All registered student organizations are invited to participate. The stampede and parade will begin at 7 p.m. on 10th Street and Pearl Street and end in front of the courthouse. 


Saturday, Sept. 21

Big 12 Homecoming Student Tailgate

2:30–4 p.m.  Farrand Field
Don’t miss the Big 12 Homecoming Student Tailgate! Live from Farrand Field, the student tailgate will include free T-shirts for the first 1,000 students, free food and a performance from DJ Press Play. 

Football: Buffs vs. Baylor Bears

6 p.m.  Folsom Field
Cheer on the Buffs during the Homecoming game against the Baylor Bears. Buffs wear white for this game! 


Sunday, Sept. 22

Colorado Skies: The Fall Equinox

2:30–3:30 p.m.  Fiske Planetarium
Celebrate the equinox at Fiske Planetarium! You'll be treated to a deep dive into this astronomically significant day, explore the autumn constellations and get pointers on how you can see the Milky Way.
