Join International Student & Scholar Services on a walk to the Boulder Farmers Market and make new connections on the way. Spouses, partners, children, friends and family are all welcome to participate.

On-Campus Student Job Fair

2–4:30 p.m.  UMC South Terrace
Looking for a job on campus? Come meet campus employers, explore opportunities and learn how to apply! The student job fair is open to all current undergraduate and graduate students, and hourly and work-study positions are available. 

Grad Student Social

6:15–8:30 p.m.  UMC, The Connection
Calling all graduate students! Join the first grad student meet-and-greet of the semester in The Connection.

Hiking Club introduction meeting

Looking to enjoy the nature around Boulder? Join the CU Boulder Hiking Club for this introduction meeting, and learn how you can join one of the largest clubs on campus.


Thursday, Sept. 5

CU in the Community: Beautify Our Block with Adopt a Spot 

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  UMC South Terrace
Join in on this student-led volunteer event. The Adopt a Spot program provides volunteer support to Public Works maintenance staff with routine maintenance, beautification and hazard reporting throughout the city.

Dennis Small Cultural Center open house 

2–4 p.m.  UMC 457
The Dennis Small Cultural Center works to be a safe space for students and provide cultural and social justice-oriented events and programs. Stop by to see how the DSCC can serve as a resource for you! 

Bike Fest and Annual Used Bike Sale 

2–5 p.m.  Farrand Field
Join the bike community at Bike Fest! Try out fun challenges, like a swing bike and reverse steering bike, for a chance to win prizes—including a bike! Come see local vendors, get your bike registered and serviced, enjoy free tacos, pick up a free Bike Fest T-shirt and buy a bike at the annual used bike sale. 

Buffs vs. University of Denver soccer

7 p.m.  Prentup Field
Cheer on the women's soccer team as they take on the University of Denver Pioneers under the lights at Prentup Field.

Free Fiske Thursday

7–8 p.m.  Fiske Planetarium
Grab your Buff OneCard and head over to Fiske Planetarium to enjoy Free Fiske Thursday! All 7 p.m. shows and star talks are free for CU Boulder students on Thursdays.


Friday, Sept. 6

2024 Volleyball Buffs Classic Tournament

Sept. 6–8  CU Events Center
Come cheer on the Buffs women's volleyball team as they host the annual Buffs Classic tournament. CU students with a valid Buff OneCard get free admission in general admission seating.

Campus Sustainability Tour

1–2 p.m  Registration required
Come see for yourself all the features that make CU Boulder one of the most sustainable campuses in the nation! During the tour you'll visit pollinator gardens, bike stations, solar panels and more.

Queer Cheer

Free Friday Power Hour at The Rec

The Rec offers Free Friday Power Hour each week. This week's class is F45 in the Base Studio. No experience is required to join, and it’s free with your Buff OneCard.

5 p.m  Roser ATLAS Center, Black Box Experimental Studio (2B level)
Stop by ATLAS to check out Codes, a collaboration between guest artists Kamari Carter and Gladstone Deluxe that features an audio-visual durational performance using data extracted from live police scanner transmissions as material for musical exploration. Free admission!

Buffs vs. Weber State soccer

Cheer on the women's soccer team as they take the pitch against the Weber State Wildcats at Prentup Field.

Ultimate Gamer tournament

12–6 p.m.  UMC Gaming Lounge
Compete head-to-head in a yearlong competition with other CU Boulder students! Each event of the Ultimate Gamer tournament features a different game genre, from Battle Royales to Survival to Roguelikes. Players can win each event and earn points toward the yearlong competition. At the end of the year, the player with the most points will be named CU Boulder's Ultimate Gamer.
