A national search is underway for the university’s next associate vice chancellor for enrollment management. The university’s goal is to have a final candidate on board by September.
Katherine Eggert, associate vice chancellor and senior vice provost for academic planning and assessment, is chairing the search committee for the next enrollment management search leader, which will include campus partners within the colleges and schools, as well enrollment management representatives.
The associate vice chancellor for enrollment management oversees the Division of Enrollment Management, which comprises 250 professional and 200 paraprofessional staff within the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, the Bursar and Precollege Outreach and Engagement. The role reports to Chief Operating Officer Patrick O’Rourke as part of the Strategic Resources and Support leadership team.
Jennifer McDuffie has been serving in the associate vice chancellor role on an interim basis in recent months. Ofelia Morales has supported Enrollment Management as the assistant vice chancellor and provided stability and continuity through leadership transitions.
“The Division of Enrollment Management lies at the heart of our educational mission as students embark upon an educational journey,” O’Rourke said. “From helping prospective students learn about CU Boulder to administering millions of dollars in financial aid, enrollment management is critical to the university’s success. I am grateful to Jennifer, Ofelia, the EM leadership team, and all our EM staff for their dedication to supporting student success.”
Separate from the search, Eggert and Morales are also leading a strategic enrollment planning process for the campus. This process will help to shape the campus’s future efforts to recruit, enroll and retain students, as well as to support them during their time at CU Boulder.
“I am excited for Ofelia and Katherine to lead our Strategic Enrollment Management Plan efforts in the coming weeks and months, and I am also excited to be recruiting a leader who carries their same passion for this university and can implement the strategies that result from the planning process.”
