Join the Bruce D. Benson Center for the Study of Western Civilization for a discussion about traditional American ideals and their impact on individual freedoms with historian and political theorist Alan Kahan.

The event will be hosted by Chancellor Philip DiStefano, and complimentary lunch and refreshments are included.

Kahan is a visiting scholar at the Benson Center for the Study of Western Civilization for his second academic year. A historian, political theorist and author, he is also a professor of British civilization at Université Paris-Saclay. DiStefano and Kahan will discuss “Liberalism—the history of a word,” with additional opportunities for mingling and networking. Complimentary lunch and refreshments will be provided.
