Brooklyn-based dance/electronic artist Evan Giia will headline this year’s Homecoming concert on Wednesday, Oct. 26, with Chet Porter lined up as the opener. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. in the University Memorial Center’s Glenn Miller Ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets, on sale now, are $10 for CU Boulder students and $20 for the public. Students should bring their Buff OneCard for entry.
Giia began her career in music as a classically trained opera singer, and her voice adds a unique touch to her alt-pop sound. She is best known for her songs "Heat of the Moment" and "Westworld,” both of which have amassed millions of streams.
Giia released three songs with ODESZA's Foreign Family Collective independent label before signing with Astralwerks in late 2019. She spent much of 2019 touring with the likes of ODESZA, Big Wild, Jai Wolf and Louis the Child.
Chet Porter will provide direct support. Porter is a prominent musician in the electronic music world, known for his indie-inspired electronic sound, his videos and his art. To date, the Canadian-born, Los Angeles-based artist has amassed over 50 million streams thanks to his DIY, wavy sound and honest lyrics.
He has toured with ODESZA, Alison Wonderland, Jai Wolf, Louis the Child, San Holo, Whethan and more.
