This weekend brings space exploration with Fiske Planetarium's theater manager, football tailgates, a walk for diabetes research, a CU soccer game and tailgate, the Martin Acres block party, the Radical Reimagining dance series and more.

CU soccer vs. Arizona State

 4 p.m.  Prentup Field  $8–$12
Come out and support the women's soccer team this Friday as they take on Arizona State, and be sure to join the Transfer Tailgate before kickoff.

Martin Acres block party

 5:30–8:30 p.m.  Martin Park
Community members and students who are currently living on or considering a future home in the Martin Acres neighborhood are welcome to come to a free block party, sponsored by Student Affairs. Come out to mingle with neighbors and enjoy free food from local favorites Illegal Pete’s and Sweet Cow, inflatable games, henna art and more.

‘Billionaires and Boulderites: A Bolder Future for Space’

 7 p.m.  Fiske Planetarium
The face of space is changing, and Colorado has emerged as a competitor in this rocketing arena! Join Fiske's theater manager, Nickolas Conant, as he discusses the Boulder science that makes future space exploits possible, including NASA’s upcoming missions to the moon; billionaires striving to realize their ambitions in space; global climate change; the increasing threat of solar activity and more.

DJ at Club 156

 7–10 p.m.  UMC, The Connection
Club 156 is the Program Council’s concert venue. They welcome bands and DJs who produce their own music. Come check out some fresh talent this Friday! 

Sneak preview: Advance screening of Bros

 8 p.m.  CHEM 140
Join the Program Council for a free movie on the big screen—popcorn included. This week, catch a special advance screening of the new movie Bros, a romantic comedy from the producer of Trainwreck and Bridesmaids and the director of Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Extreme Bowling

JDRF One Walk

Help conquer Type 1 diabetes. CU’s College Diabetes Network Chapter is walking in a 5K to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Be sure to join the CDN@CUBOULDER team when you register.

Radical Reimagining

 2 p.m.  University Theatre, Charlotte York Irey Theatre  $17–23
This weekend, international choreographers and performers are dancing Radical Reimagining, a series developed in the wake of COVID-19. The show also plays Friday and Saturday nights, closing with the Sunday matinee.
