Take in wondrous musical performances for free—in person at Grusin Hall or streamed online. Most Tuesdays through the academic year, CU Boulder faculty experts treat audiences to their renowned talents, featuring world premieres and beloved classics in collaboration with colleagues, alumni and student-musicians. Upcoming events in the Faculty Tuesdays series include:

Oct. 25: Trick or Treat

Join faculty artists for a program of musical tricks and treats from the sublime worlds of opera, musical theater and song.

Nov. 1: Violoncelles, Vibrez!

Enjoy an evening celebrating the lyricism and virtuosity of the cello. This program explores works ranging from cello duos to cello octets and includes compositions by Jean-Baptiste Barrière, Jan Radzysnki, Reinhold Glière, Thomas Wilson and Giovanni Sollima.

Nov. 15: Peter Cooper and friends

This concert captures the oboe as a romantic instrument in music spanning 250 years. Works will range from Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Wedding Cantata”—a celebration of love and marriage and one of his few secular cantatas—to the gorgeous “Poem” by Marina Dranishnikova and the lush “Schilflieder” trio by August Klughardt.
