The University Libraries invite current graduate students from all CU Boulder colleges to apply for the 2022 Provost’s Fellowship in Information Science for the University Libraries.
From data curation to archival management to information literacy, librarians organize, preserve and provide access to information in ever-changing formats. This fellowship offers CU Boulder graduate students at the master’s and PhD levels with the opportunity to expand their understanding of libraries’ and librarians’ roles in the evolving information ecosystem.
During the spring semester, fellows will work with a library faculty mentor to explore the intersections of people, technology and information. The fellowship must begin in the Spring 2022 semester, although fellows may continue to work on their projects into the summer.
Fellows will be awarded $1,500 for 100 hours of participation in the program.
Applicants are welcome to submit original project ideas or develop a project based on ideas submitted by participating librarians. Mentors and fellows will work together to shape the projects to fit the libraries’ and fellows’ interests and needs.
