Senior Class Council President Julia BaumHello! My name is Julia Baum and I am this year's Senior Class Council (SCC) President.

Senior Class Council is a group of students charged with shaping the senior class experience. For this year’s graduating class, we want to ensure a memorable last few months, complete with exciting events and a meaningful commencement ceremony. We plan to choose a commencement speaker who embodies the values of the CU Boulder community, create events that are engaging and raise funds for the senior class gift: Seniors Creating Future Buffs Scholarship.

Because we are gradually working our way out of a pandemic, my hope is that seniors across campus can come together to celebrate the four (or five) hard years that they’ve spent at CU. The senior class has been so resilient, optimistic and determined, and SCC can’t wait to honor the seniors who have experienced unique challenges during their college experience.

We are planning engaging events that will bring together the greater CU Boulder community. These include homecoming activities, graduation events and many more. For updates on these events, please follow @cuboulderscc on Instagram! Further, if you would like to be involved in Senior Class Council, there is still time to apply! Please contact us at scc@colorado.edu.

As you count down the days until graduation and experience several “last times” at CU Boulder before you head off campus, SCC is committed to making sure your final months as a senior are celebrated. Your hard work and dedication are apparent and, in mere months, you will find that the fruits of your labor will pay off. I am honored and humbled to be a member of this welcoming and passionate community. I wish you the best of luck in your final days as an on-campus CU Buff.

Sincerely,

Julia Baum
President of Senior Class Council
