This weekend brings fine art and guided meditation, CU on Friday activities, a free Zumba workout class, a silent disco, your last chance to see Climate Cabaret and more.
Friday, Oct. 1
12:15–12:45 p.m. CU Art Museum
Come learn about a work of art and then participate in a related mindfulness practice. You are welcome to join in the museum galleries in person or virtually via Zoom. The powerful, guided meditation can undo stress, soothe the nervous system and help you feel relaxed and revitalized. All are welcome. Register in advance for virtual attendance.
3–4 p.m. Zoom
Come learn about the application process for the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) from Disability Services and Career Services.
4–6 p.m. UMC, The Connection
Connect with your community while you decorate cookies, eat pumpkin bread and drink some hot chai. There will also be free bowling and billiards games to participate in.
5–6 p.m. Rec Center
Ask a friend to join you at the Rec Center for Zumba! This fitness class incorporates great music with dance movements for a dynamic and exciting workout that works the entire body.
7:30 p.m. Chem 140
Bring your popcorn and a friend and come watch a free movie. Every Friday, Program Council will have a movie showing so you don’t have to worry about Friday night plans! Tonight’s movie will feature the Mystery Inc. gang, brought together to investigate strange events happening on an island resort. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; the film begins at 8 p.m.

Get your costumes and get ready for a silent disco! Bring a friend and come enjoy some food and drinks while you dance the night away.
Saturday, Oct. 2

Be part of the Mental Health Tailgate party with your fellow Buffs before the CU football game! Enjoy your morning with some free breakfast, music and other exciting and inflatable games. Be sure to bring your Buff OneCard to participate.
7–10 p.m. UMC, The Connection
Grab a couple of friends and get ready to have a great Saturday night at The Connection! Enjoy the fun of bowling with black lights, colored lane lights and color pins. It’s the only extreme bowling you’ll find in Boulder! Also open Friday nights.

2 p.m. University Theatre $22
CU Theatre & Dance partners with Climate Change Theatre Action 2021 in New York City to produce 10 brief climate plays by authors from around the world interspersed with fun cabaret-style musical numbers. Humor, passion and imagination are put to work envisioning an equitable, survivable and thrivable future for all life and the ecosystems upon which life depends. Runs Sept. 24–Oct. 3.
