I'm a social butterfly
Need a space to chat? The Norlin Commons is the spot to be if you want to meet with a friend over coffee from the Laughing Goat Coffeehouse or work with your group in one of the study rooms. Volume control not required. The Writing Center and the library service desk is just around the corner if you have questions.
I don't need nobody
So quiet you could hear an atom drop, the Gemmill Library silent study area is the perfect place for anyone needing a private spot to get work done. Find your solitude in a carrel (complete with chalkboards to work out equations) or at a table hidden within the stacks. And if you do need support, the service desk is right upstairs or schedule an appointment with an expert librarian.
Group in and group out
Rumor has it, the long wooden tables in the Norlin Library fishbowl were inherited from a medieval family who liked to host dinner parties which means they are the right size to spread out with textbooks and collaborate with your classmates. Have a question? This area also houses the Ask a Librarian desk staffed by expert librarians here to help you succeed on your assignments.

There is something about studying next to a thousands of years old dinosaur fossil and a massive collection of old maps that reconnects you with space, time and your education. Visit the Earth Sciences & Map Library and spread out on one of their many tables to connect with the prehistoric era and also that term paper due next week! If you need assistance, the service desk is closeby or schedule an appointment with an expert librarian.

Physically divided, but united by project deadlines, the Business Library tables are a great option for those who need to focus, but would like the support of a nearby friend.
