This weekend brings a campus sustainability walking tour, Buffs Night at the Rockies, free fitness classes, an advance screening of Dear Evan Hansen and more.

Campus Sustainability Walking Tour

 12–1 p.m.  Meet at the Environmental Center (UMC 355)
Come learn what makes CU Boulder one of the most sustainable campuses in the nation! From pollinator gardens to bike stations, solar panels and more! Tours are open to all mobilities. Registration is required; group size is limited.

Free Friday Power Hour: Hip Hop Groove

 6–7 p.m.  Rec Center, Studio 2
This dance fitness class feels more like a party than a workout. It’s a combination of easy-to-follow hip-hop dance moves with sculpting routines to target your glutes, thighs, abs and arms, all while jamming to the hottest hip-hop music.

The Buffs are excited to welcome fans back to Folsom Field! Come support the Buffs as they take on Northern Colorado. Tickets start at $40, or go ahead and purchase the Student Sports Pass for $150. 

Buffs After Dark: Fri-Yay Night Pool Party

 7–10 p.m.  Rec Center, outdoor Buff Pool
Take advantage of the last sun rays and come hang out at the outdoor Buff Pool. You can swim, play water games or lounge around fire pits on the deck. And there will also be free swag while supplies last. Don’t forget to bring your Buff OneCard for entry.

Inclusive Rec: Heels Dancing class

 7:30–8:30 p.m.  Rec Center, Studio 1
Join Inclusive Rec and the Pride Office for a class that will strengthen your muscles used while wearing heels, help you develop self-confidence and self-awareness all while learning fun choreography. Open to everyone interested in having fun, moving to music and dancing in heels. Participants should bring their own heels to class. Be sure to register.


Saturday, Sept. 4

Buffalo Nites: Buffs Night at the Rockies

 6:40 p.m.  Coors Field, Denver
Share your love for baseball with other Buffs and head to Denver for a Rockies baseball game! Come to the Center for Student Involvement (UMC 330) starting Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m. to pick up your free ticket. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. One ticket per person. Must show valid Buff OneCard at time of pickup. 

Extreme Bowling

 7–10 p.m.  UMC, The Connection
Grab a couple of friends and get ready to have a great Saturday night at the Connection! Enjoy the fun of bowling with black lights, colored lane lights and color pins. It’s the only extreme bowling you’ll find in Boulder. Also open Friday night.

Program Council Film Series: Dear Evan Hansen

 7:30 p.m.  Chem 140
Bring your popcorn and a friend and come watch an advance screening of Dear Evan Hansen. Follow the story of Evan, a high school senior with social anxiety disorder on his journey of self-discovery and acceptance following the suicide of a fellow classmate. Request your free tickets now! Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; the film begins at 8 p.m.
