Following today’s news from University of Colorado President Mark Kennedy and the Board of Regents about a forthcoming transition in the CU presidency, we would like to express our gratitude for President Kennedy’s service and our shared commitment to harnessing the tremendous strength of our four-campus system to lead CU into the future.

While the past year has presented great challenges, this time in our history has also shined a light on the essential nature of the work we do in the service of our students and our state. We know our university is strongest when we come together around a shared vision, and at its best when we pursue ambitious goals in partnership with one another.

Today, we stand together on sound footing, well-positioned for the opportunities ahead and deeply committed to ensuring that our students receive an exceptional education and that we sustain our forward momentum. We will work closely over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition at the University of Colorado and remain focused on delivering on our mission as a leading public university.

Sincerely,
