Thank you for your interest in the CU Boulder Sustainability Council.  The council is committed to seeking nominations from students, faculty and staff across campus.  You may self-nominate, or nominate someone else for service on the Council.

Chancellor Philip DiStefano announced the creation of the council during a Call to Climate Action, which he issued at the Climate Sustainability Summit on April 22, 2021. The mission of the Council is to foster and assist effective integration of sustainability across all aspects of the university through advising the chancellor and campus leadership, and through facilitating campus-wide sustainability efforts. The council will have 15 members total. Those selected through this inaugural nomination process will serve a two-year term.

Once formed, the council will solidify its structure and operations through the creation of by-laws that outline all aspects of the council.  The council is expected to meet quarterly, and its first meeting will take place shortly after fall semester 2021 begins.  A time commitment for service on the council is estimated to be two to four hours per month.

Nominations close May 21, 2021.
