Update: Due to the March 22 tragedy in Boulder, the March 23 episode of CU Boulder Where You Are: Exploring CU Boulder’s Counterculture through the Archives will be postponed until a later date.

Chancellor DiStefano will be joining the weekly Campus Q&A for the March 23 community discussion.

Further information will be distributed via email and social media as it becomes available.

CU Boulder Where You Are: An Online Series Highlighting Teaching, Research and Innovation, the chancellor’s virtual outreach series, will feature four episodes this spring on what a holistic approach to student wellness really means, why inclusion matters, the power of storytelling to shape our world, and how the scientific process can help us build cultural understanding.

The lunchtime series kicks off Tuesday, March 2.

Each episode will be produced in a talk show format with various experts. Some will be pre-recorded, but there will be ample time for real-time audience engagement around the topic. The series is free and open to the public.

“We received very positive feedback on our fall series and look forward to an even more engaging spring event,” Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano said. “Despite the devastating impacts of COVID-19, our researchers, alumni and staff continue to create momentum around other critical issues: the health and wellness of our students, and diversity, equity and inclusion. We also are pleased last year’s commencement speaker Dan Carlin will again join us to discuss how we chronicle our history.”

CU Boulder Where You Are augments the chancellor’s annual visits to communities across Colorado with coaches or academic experts. (The in-person state outreach tour is on hiatus at present due to the coronavirus pandemic).

This format allows alumni, friends, students and parents to join in an engaging discussion and learn more about the state’s flagship campus and the breadth and depth of its many academic disciplines, along with arts, culture and athletics.

All events begin at noon.
