Academic freedom: A conversation Dec. 3 on rights and responsibilities

The CU Boulder campus continues its ongoing dialogue on academic freedom with a panel discussion on rights and responsibilities at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, sponsored by the Keller Center for the Study of the 1st Amendment, the Office of the Chancellor, and Faculty Affairs.

Panelists include Helen Norton, professor and Ira C. Rothgerber Jr. Chair in Constitutional Law at Colorado Law; Samira Rajabi, director of technology influenced practice and instructor at the College of Media, Communication and Information; and Andrew Therriault, data science and strategy consultant.

This event, noted in Chancellor DiStefano’s Aug. 24 communication, follows the panel discussion from Feb. 19 that explored the meaning and application of academic freedom for faculty. It was moderated by Russ Moore, provost, and Michele Moses, associate vice chancellor for faculty affairs.
