Program Council and Club 156 will host a double album release party featuring local artists Dog Basketball and Dry Ice at Old Main on Dec. 5. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will start at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dog Basketball

From Spotify: Dog Basketball is the project of Denver-based recording artist Zack Marshall. Recently, Marshall released the singles “Ice Machine” and “Gold Dust Falcon Crest” off of an upcoming EP, set to be released Nov. 22.

Dog Basketball also has been adapted to a live band featuring Jack Long, Ben Eberle and Kylie Ludvig (members of Use the Sun and Screwtape). As a live outfit, Dog Basketball once toured the West Coast accompanying Ashley Koett.

Dry Ice

From Spotify: Dry Ice was formed initially as a joke when Olivia Booth, Elizabeth Cushing and Ethan Rovno were still in high school. They then realized their influences of shoegaze, dream pop, psych rock and punk were similar and that three of them were able to create sounds that combined all of these genres.

Their debut album Technicolor Yawning is the dynamic culmination of their first 10 songs—each very different but somehow have a cohesive, dreamy sound.
