Academic success the topic of next faculty-Athletics conversation series event
The Boulder Faculty Assembly's Intercollegiate Athletics Committee, in coordination with CU Athletics, will hold its second conversation series on Thursday, Dec. 5.
The session will feature Kris Livingston, senior associate athletic director for student success.
Livingston will talk about the Herbst Academic Center and how it interacts with faculty to best support student-athletes. Last spring, for the first time in CU Athletics history, the department achieved a semester GPA over 3.0. It was the 10th consecutive semester and 11th ever with a GPA above 2.9, as the department has inched closer to the 3.0 threshold over the past five years.
Faculty are invited to attend the event, which starts at noon on Dec. 5 and will be held in the University Memorial Center's Aspen Room. Lunch will be provided.
Attendees are asked to RSVP via an online form on the CU Athletics website.
