The university community is invited to join Education Abroad and International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) in celebration of International Education Week Nov. 18–22.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of International Education Week (IEW), a joint initiative organized by the U.S. Departments of State and U.S. Department of Education, International Education Week serves as “an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide and promotes programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences.”

To celebrate IEW, CU Boulder organizes programming to showcase and celebrate the extensive international connections here on campus, spearheaded by the offices of Education Abroad and International Student and Scholar Services.

The headline event is a special IEW edition of International Coffee Hour on Nov. 15—held the Friday before IEW to bring attention to the upcoming week. The event will feature a display of the 2019 photo contest submissions, recognize CU Boulder Global Citizen awardees and 2019 photo contest winners.

Visit CU Boulder's International Education Week page for further information on events happening around campus throughout the month of November.
