This week, Colorado Athletics kicks off with six different games from three sports.
On Thursday, Aug. 29, CU Soccer has its third game of the season against Kent State. The Buffaloes and Golden Flashes will square off at 4:30 p.m. at Prentup Field. They play again Sunday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m., this time facing the University of Texas. The first 500 fans in attendance will get a free thunderstick! Also, starting at 11 a.m., fans can interact with first responder vehicles among other free activities. Kids ages 12 and under get into the match for free.
Volleyball begins its season on Friday, Aug. 30, at 6 p.m., when they host Wyoming in the CU Events Center in the first game of the Buffs invitational, which also features LIU Brooklyn and UCSB. Colorado will play LIU Brooklyn at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, and then faces UCSB at 7 p.m. Kids ages 12 and under get into the match for free.
Finally, football begins their season on Friday, Aug. 30, at 8 p.m., when they take on Colorado State as part of the last Rocky Mountain Showdown to be played in Denver. Tickets are still available at bit.ly/2ZcmoOb.
