Video: Instagram provides a connecting point for community of women scientists at CU

Doctoral student Julia Bakker-Arkema has taken to Instagram with the CU WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) selfie series to help familiarize viewers with science and scientists from the CU Boulder community.

Bakker-Arkema, who is working on a doctorate in chemistry, created the CU WISE Instagram page as a way to celebrate and connect the community of women scientists on campus.

“I wanted to create a place for people to describe their work in their own words,” she said.
