More Details

The Research & Innovation Office (RIO) and other campus partners are soliciting presenters for poster sessions that will be a part of the first annual CU Boulder Research & Innovation Week Oct. 15-19, 2018, a weeklong celebration and showcase of research, scholarship and creative work.

The activities and events scheduled for the week are intended to bring the campus community together and demonstrate the broad impact of the work of CU Boulder’s faculty, researchers, postdocs, students and staff. In addition to boosting visibility for the work of the campus, the week is designed to create opportunities for collaboration and recognize exceptional leadership and outcomes.

Additionally, select events are designed to appeal to audiences beyond campus, such as the Boulder community, industry partners, the entrepreneurial ecosystem and more.

Poster sessions offer opportunities for visibility and collaboration

Three different poster sessions, integrated into several of the week’s events, will provide opportunities for a range of presenters—undergraduates, grad students, postdocs and faculty—to share their work with others.

Poster presentations are currently being accepted. Presenters may choose from the following options:

More details and submission information can be found on the call for posters webpage

A full slate of opportunities for faculty, students and staff to engage

The activities for the week include a full schedule of events designed to shine a light on work of all kinds taking place across campus. Each day is built around a broad theme to encourage diverse contributors and participants rather than existing department- or college-based groupings. Themes for the days are:

  • Innovate + Research (Monday)
  • Cultivate + Health (Tuesday)
  • Imagine + Creativity (Wednesday)
  • Discover + Space (Thursday)
  • Sustain + Tomorrow (Friday)

Note: Some events require registration. Details on each can be found at the Research & Innovation Week website, where additional events are still being added to the schedule.

The week will also include other components, such as an invitation to “bring your research, scholarship and creative work to class” and social media components—using #CUBoulderImpact—to engage people beyond the physical events of the week.
