Friday, Aug. 31

Herd tailgate at Ralphie’s Corral

Stop by Lot C at Broncos Stadium at Mile High from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. for games, music and fun before the Rocky Mountain Showdown. Herd members get free food and Buff gear.

The Showcase

If you like dance, you'll definitely want to check out The Showcase, an international dance performance by six different groups and individuals highlighting a variety of styles, from classical to street dancing. Tickets are $20, and the event runs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Macky Auditorium.

Free group fitness classes

All classes on the group fitness schedule are free to Rec Center members! Group fitness classes include yoga, cycle, pilates, guided meditation, power barre, Zumba, HIIT and more.

Program Council Film Series: Thoroughbreds

Free movie and popcorn at 9 p.m., as Program Council's film series kicks off the fall semester with Thoroughbreds. Held in Chem 140.


Saturday, Sept. 1

Twenty Ninth Street LIVE

Come down to 29th Street from 6 to 9 p.m. and enjoy some food and free music. Local group Kerry and The Crime Scene will perform, and food trucks will sell a variety of fare.

Boulder Creek Hometown Festival

Send summer out on a good note by attending this local fair to celebrate Labor Day weekend. Stop by the Boulder Bandshell (right off Canyon Boulevard) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for live performances, arts and crafts, competitions and a variety of other fun events. Admission is free.

CU Super Geeks Board Games Meetup

Join the CU Super Geeks for a meetup welcoming anyone interested in video games, board games, movies, TV shows or anything vaguely pop-culture related. They’ll be hanging out at Hellems Arts and Sciences, Room 181, from 2 to 6 p.m. Swing by and make some new friends.


Sunday, Sept. 2

CU Soccer vs. ISU

Support the CU women’s soccer team as they take on Iowa State at Prentup Field. Game starts at noon. Bring your Buff OneCard for free entry, and don’t forget to wear white to show unity with your fellow Buffs.

Hit the trails around Boulder

If you are looking for a quick trip to nature, or a stress reliever, hit the trails in and around Boulder.
