CU Boulder embarked on the Foundations of Excellence initiative in fall 2017 with the goal of improving outcomes for all first-year undergraduate students.
Over 100 faculty, staff and students from across campus served on nine committees, each of which gathered information on existing policies, practices and programs impacting first-year students. After assessing the available data, six themes emerged, resulting in a draft report including 27 recommendations for improving the first-year experience. Review that draft report here (PDF).
You are invited to attend an open forum with Vice Provost Mary Kraus to hear about the preliminary recommendations that have gone to the provost for review. Open forums will be held as follows:
