Campus community members interact at an NSF workshop

The Research & Innovation Office (RIO) will host CU Boulder’s first-ever Sustainability Research Blitz on Thursday, March 22, at the Student Recreation Center.

The event is intended to foster connections across disciplines that intersect with sustainability and help the campus community identify opportunities for collaboration. While the call for presenters has just opened, faculty from Critical Media Practices, Mechanical Engineering, the Leeds School of Business and other departments have already communicated intent to present.

Call for presenters

RIO is seeking approximately 25 participants to present their sustainability-related research in three-minute, lightning-round sessions. Topic areas include:

  • The built environment
  • Climate and climate adaptation
  • Culture, history and anthropology
  • Human health
  • Sustainable energy
  • Other topics

Space is limited, and registration is required for all attendees and interested presenters by Friday, March 2. Those interested in presenting should indicate so on the RSVP form. Selected presenters will be notified via email by Monday, March 5.
