CU Boulder is among the top research institutions nationally for producing recipients of Fulbright student awards for the 2017–18 academic year, the Chronicle of Higher Education announced this week.

Tying with seven other research universities across the country, a total of 10 CU Boulder graduate students or alumni received Fulbright grant offers to pursue teaching, research and graduate studies abroad during the 2017–18 academic year. 

They included Jillian Bjerke, Danielle Garrison, Sierra Gladfelter, Lisa Powers, Maggie Rosenau, Michael Rush, Haley Stein, Dillon Webster, Eben Yonnetti and Aubrey Rhodes. An alternate candidate, GraceAnne Casto, also was named.

The top institution in the country for Fulbright student awards in 2017–18, Brown University, also falls into the "research university" category, with 39 offers.
