Hello, everyone! It’s a good week to get out and take advantage of the nice weather before things turn snowy and cold, because, as Ned Stark always said, winter is coming.

This week features the chancellor's annual State of the Campus address, active harmer training, an outdoor dog café in celebration of Conflict Resolution Week, a Colorado Creed-themed game night, screening of the documentary Chasing Coral, career fair where the companies pitch themselves to you, introduction to beekeeping workshop, Sing Along Boulder, CU's Ultimate Challenge and a night of self-care.

Tuesday, Oct. 17

State of the Campus address

Join Chancellor DiStefano for the fall State of the Campus address at 9 a.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. There will be free food, community discussion and an update on how fares the campus and how it will progress into the future. Submit a question for the chancellor now.

CU Police Active Harmer Class

CUPD is hosting an active harmer response class open to all CU Boulder students, staff and faculty to help make you aware of what to do during an active harmer situation. From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in UMC 247, this class will be a resource for increasing your safety and well-being on and off campus should an emergency situation happen. This class is free, but you must register in advance at the link above and bring your Buff OneCard for entry.

Wednesday, Oct. 18

Stay & Play Dog Café

In celebration of Conflict Resolution Week, the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution is hosting an outdoor dog café from 1 to 5 p.m. at Norlin Quad. There will be therapy dogs, warm beverages and sweet treats for students to enjoy while chatting with staff about conflicts they might be experiencing on campus in a relaxed atmosphere. Learn more about your personal conflict style and strategies for effective conflict resolution.

Colorado Creed Game Night

Swing by the Dennis Small Cultural Center for a fun game night themed around the Colorado Creed from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in UMC 204. Bring friends and maybe a favorite game or two of your own, and enjoy this free chance to unwind from the stress of school.

Chasing Coral screening

Come and catch the free screening of the new documentary Chasing Coral, which discusses climate change and its impacts on the Earth and its vast blue seas. The film will be shown at 6 p.m. in Education 220, and there will be free Half Fast subs, so don’t miss out.

Startups2Students

Now here’s a refreshing thought: a career fair where the companies looking to hire pitch themselves to you rather than the other way around. From 6 to 8 p.m. in the Fleming Idea Forge, Boulder startups looking to hire innovative CU Boulder students will connect and network with you. There is no sign-up or tickets required—just show up with your resume!

Bees are incredible animals, but their numbers are declining. If you’ve ever wanted to learn about caring for bees, now's your time!
