CU Boulder faculty experts are available to discuss ongoing wildfires across the United States.
Jennifer Balch is the director of CU Boulder’s Earth Lab and can discuss the increasing frequency of wildfires across the country and human impacts on the fire season. She has extensively studied the influence of human activity on wildfires in the United States.

Michael Kodas is the deputy director of CU Boulder’s Center for Environmental Journalism. His book, Megafire: The Race to Extinguish a Deadly Epidemic of Flame, details the global impacts of wildfires from remote wilderness to people's backyards.
