Finance and Business Strategy (FBS) exists to assist departments and units across campus in employing a strategic, systematic and comprehensive approach to resource planning, data analysis and fiscal management. Our staff is here to help individuals and departments make informed and innovative business decisions.
Previously known as the Office of Budget, Finance and Enrollment Services, in July 2016 we changed our name to reflect our new organizational structure. Finance and Business Strategy is now made up of the following four areas: auxiliary services, budget and fiscal planning, campus controller and data analytics.
The new structure offers significant advantages to staff, faculty and students across campus. By combining under a single organization, it makes it easier to provide a diverse array of services and to collaborate with one another to more effectively serve you. It also provides people on campus, who need our help but are unsure of how to initiate communication, with more streamlined access to our services.
As the recently appointed associate vice chancellor for Finance and Business Strategy, I am committed to making our team the go-to resource for strategic operations, financial management and decision-support. Our high-level subject matter experts will continue to provide useful information and analysis to support innovative solutions and effective practices with regard to our campus resources.
