Tuesday, April 25, 4 p.m.
Center for Community (C4C), room S350
With April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the university wants to remind the campus community there are policies in place that prohibit this type of conduct.
Based on University of Colorado Boulder policy, sexual misconduct includes non-consensual sexual intercourse, non-consensual sexual contact, sexual harassment and sexual exploitation. CU’s policies also prohibits intimate partner abuse and stalking.
For more information on these terms, visit the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC) website.
If you would like to learn more about options in the advent of sexual misconduct, please contact CU’s free and confidential Office of Victim Assistance (OVA) by phone 303-492-8855 or email at assist@colorado.edu.
OVA is an advocacy and trauma-informed counseling resource for students, staff and faculty. If you are concerned about a friend’s relationship or experience, we are here to help those who are supporting survivors, too.
Speaking of supporting survivors, on Tuesday, April 25, during the Cultural Events Board-hosted Mental Health Awareness week, OVA will be presenting the Supporting Survivors session at the Center for Community. Please come check it out; it truly matters how we respond to those impacted by sexual assault.
For more information on CU’s sexual misconduct policies, visit the OIEC online or the Don’t Ignore It page.
