This past month more than 150 managers, supervisors and HR liaisons have attended a 45-minute, in-person briefing where Human Resources-Organizational and Employee Development presented an overview of a new, comprehensive year-long onboarding program for new employees.

The goals of the program are to help new employees reach higher levels of productivity faster; to understand what it means to work in an institution of higher education; become knowledgeable of the organizational structure, governance, initiatives and policies of the campus and the CU System; and come to know the history, values, and institutional excellence that is CU Boulder.

The briefings focus on components of the new program, and the roles and responsibilities supervisors have when bringing on new employees.

Additional briefings will take place in October:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 4, 9 to 9:45 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2 to 2:45 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 5, 3 to 3:45 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 6, 9 to 9:45 a.m.

Onboarding Briefings are hosted in the Administrative and Research Center, East Campus, Room 620. RSVP by email to: or by phone to 303-492-8103 (extension 2-8103 from any campus phone)
